The SESC gallery in Madureira is located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro's North Zone, this mean, the main center of the "Bate-bola" culture. The show was not only filled with photographs, but complete outfits and masks, in collaboration with some of the groups that populate the Bate-Bola universe. Huge success of public, with more than 4000 visitors, debates and lectures.
It was the first time that this rich and little known carioca carnival street culture was presented in an art center.

Flashback to 2011 : my exhibit at the MEP in Paris. The premise happened in 2006, when MEP's director Jean-Luc Monterosso discovered my work in a visit to Rio de Janeiro, and invited me to continue showing the progresses on a regular base, until the exhibit would take place.
